Container gardens allow you to enhance your garden area. To create the perfect addition
make sure the plants and container are best
for your location and purpose.
1.
To ensure the best results, make sure your
container has drainage holes in the bottom to
allow excess moisture to drain away.
You can place
broken pieces
of teracotta pot or pebbles in the base of the container.
2.
Fill half of the container with compost/potting soil

3. Keeping plants in their pots, arrange the by
height and growing habits.

4.After perfecting your arrangement, remove the
plants from their pots and add compost/potting
soil
around the roots. Make sure there are no air spaces by firmly pressing in compost.
5.
Finally, water the plants well and pinch off faded blooms to encourage new growth.
One of the joys of container gardening is that you can put together combinations that will look their best in Spring, Summer or Fall. |
